Hope for Orphans (HFO) is a nationwide Ukrainian ministry that runs camps year-round at orphanages across the country, alongside social projects and humanitarian aid for widows and families in crisis. At every camp, our team and volunteers share the Gospel alongside the games, meals, and mentorship, because the need we're most focused on meeting isn't only material.
Our work centers on orphans and children without parental care, including children who've lost one or both parents to the war. We also walk alongside widows, the elderly, internally displaced people, and families facing hard circumstances.
Practical help opens the door, but it isn't the whole mission. We want the people we serve to see, in tangible ways, that God has not forgotten them. That's what drives everything HFO does: being present, showing love, and pointing to the hope found in Christ, especially for those who have every reason to believe no one is coming.
In the U.S., Hope for Orphans exists to make that work possible. We connect American churches, companies, and individuals to serve directly alongside HFO Ukraine at camps and retreats, and we fully fund its work on the ground. We're also developing a new program in Western Ukraine to support young people aging out of the orphan system, so that care doesn't stop the moment childhood does.
